I will be at the MoCCA Festival this weekend in New York, hanging out at table D15 with my buddy, David Stoll! If you’re going to be in New York City, definitely come check out the festival and say hi!
Here’s a map of the festival:

So I thought this was pretty cool: My friend Kyle (who is the inspiration for the character of the same name in Owlex), wanted a tattoo of an owl and recently had me draw her a little Owlex, which is now permanently drawn on her body. It’s pretty cool to see my work on someone’s skin and I’m absolutely honored that she thinks it’s good enough to be there. Kyle and her boyfriend Ben came down to Savannah to see me recently, which was a ton of fun, and I got to take this picture of Kyle’s sweet new ink:

How awesome is that?!?! So awesome, is how awesome that is.

Hey there, y’all. I know it’s short notice, but for those of you living in the Savannah area, there’s going to be a Mini-comic Expo on the second floor of the Pirate’s House this Saturday, from 11am-4pm, and i’m going to be there! Stop by and visit me and check out some of the sweet minicomics being made by myself and other SCAD folk.

For those of you in the New York area, I’ll be attending MoCCA this year and will have a table with my friend David Stoll! We’ll be selling minicomics and hanging out all weekend so if you’re around NYC you should come to the show! Mocca will be held on April 9th and 10th this year and a ton of awesome people are going to be there. I’m really looking forward to it!

For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, I wrote a story for Shareable.net’s Share or Die: Youth in Recession series, which will be published as an e-book this spring. It’s a collection of stories and art about life in the recession, the challenges it poses and the solutions people have worked out. The website will be publishing selections from the book on their website in the next few months, and my story is already up, so go read it!

It’s a little more upbeat than my work normally is, but I guess that’s a good thing. A positive outlook never hurt anyone, right?
